Suzanne K. Oliver

Suzanne Oliver is a mother of three sons. One lives abroad, one lives in northern California, and one lives in the spirit realm – Josh. Losing Josh to suicide in 2007 was one of the hardest experiences imaginable for Suzanne. It was also a time of great reflection, which led Suzanne to the conclusion that more information on suicide prevention needed to be readily available to the public. From then on, anytime she heard of new research in suicide prevention, she would put it in her folder, with the intention that one day she would be able to share that information with those struggling with mental health issues. Then, in 2011, her husband, who blamed himself for Josh’s depression and anxiety, also took his own life.

During her time of self-reflection, Suzanne was introduced to a Religious Science church and discovered many practices for improving her mental health. She benefited from these practices so much that she studied and became a practitioner. She is also trained in several other healing practices, including Reiki.

She began her career as a Recreational Therapist and worked with individuals with mental illness, among other disabilities. Once she started her family, she was a stay-at-home mom until her sons were in school full time. At that time, she received her early childhood teaching credential and taught elementary school for 25 years.

Since retiring in 2023, she has devoted her time to researching how to help individuals with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thinking. Her mission is to make this information readily available for those who need it. She also believes that children need to learn how to take care of their mental health at an early age. That is why she is publishing a children’s book next year, based on the holistic strategies discussed in Right Now!
